> ## Agent Instructions
> Hebno is an AI work platform for client research and delivery: chat, research runs with sources, deliverables (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, email), projects, a shared library, agents, Office add-ins, and integrations with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, CRM, project delivery, ERP and finance systems.
> Use British English (organisation, not organization).
> Every feature and integration described in these docs is available. Describe it as documented.
> Hebno never writes to a connected system without a member confirming a card. Finance and ERP writes are drafts only.
> Do not discuss commercial terms. Direct commercial questions to support@hebno.com.

# Settings

> Change your profile, appearance, chat defaults, notifications, connections, skills and usage view from your personal settings.

Personal settings contain everything that applies only to you. Open them from the user menu at the bottom of the sidebar: **Settings** opens the **Personal** section, and **Usage** opens the usage section.

Settings has six sections.

| Section | What it contains |
| - | - |
| **Personal** | Profile, appearance, account |
| **Chat preferences** | Default model, custom instructions, memory |
| **Notifications** | What you receive in the app and by email |
| **Connections** | Your own connected accounts |
| **Skills** | Your skills and sharing |
| **Usage** | Your spend against any limits |

## Personal

**Profile** contains your name, email and photo.

* **Full name**: select **Change full name**. Your name appears on shared chats and in the members list.
* **Email**: read only. Contact support at [support@hebno.com](mailto:support@hebno.com) to change it.
* **Photo**: select **Replace photo** or **Remove photo**.

**Appearance** sets the **Theme** (Light, Dark or System) and the **Language**. You can also change both from the user menu.

**Account** has **Sign out** and **Delete account**, which permanently removes your account and all associated data.

## Chat preferences

Set your **Default model** here. Choose **Auto** and Hebno picks an allowed model for each new chat, or choose a specific model that your organisation and team allow. See [Models](https://hebno.com/docs/concepts/models.md).

This section also contains your custom instructions and your memory. See [Memory and instructions](https://hebno.com/docs/account/memory-and-instructions.md).

## Notifications

Choose which events reach you in the app and by email, and switch email off entirely. See [Notifications](https://hebno.com/docs/account/notifications.md).

## Connections

Connect your own accounts so Hebno can search and retrieve your material in chat and, with your confirmation, save files or send mail as you. Connections are personal to you.

**1. Find the system**

Open **Settings → Connections** and use **Search connectors** to find it.

**2. Connect**

Select **Connect** for the system and approve access on the other system's sign-in page.

**3. Check the status**

The row shows **Connected as** with your account. A badge reading **Enabled by your organisation** means an administrator has already approved the permissions, so you will not see a consent screen.

Each row also offers **Reconnect** when access has expired and **Disconnect** to remove the connection. Disconnecting a Microsoft account removes OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, Calendar and OneNote together.

Two toggles protect your outgoing communication:

| Toggle | Effect |
| - | - |
| **Allow sending** | Lets you send emails that Hebno drafts |
| **Allow invitations** | Lets you send calendar invitations that Hebno drafts |

Hebno still shows a confirmation card, and nothing leaves until you select **Send**. You can also connect the first time you use a system: a **Connect** prompt appears inline in chat. Integrations your organisation blocks do not appear. See [Connected systems](https://hebno.com/docs/concepts/connected-systems.md).

## Skills

Create reusable instructions that you attach to a message with `/name`, or from the **+** menu. Use **New skill** to write one, or **Upload .md** to import a Markdown file. Select **Share with organisation** to make a skill available to everyone in your organisation. See [Skills](https://hebno.com/docs/automate/skills.md).

## Usage

Shows your spend against any limit that applies to you, as spent against the limit with a percentage, and the date limits reset. If no limit applies, it reads **No spend limits apply to you.** When a hard limit is reached it shows that the limit is reached and spend is blocked. Use the refresh icon to update the figures. See [Spend and limits](https://hebno.com/docs/concepts/spend-and-limits.md).
