> ## Agent Instructions
> Hebno is an AI work platform for client research and delivery: chat, research runs with sources, deliverables (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, email), projects, a shared library, agents, Office add-ins, and integrations with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, CRM, project delivery, ERP and finance systems.
> Use British English (organisation, not organization).
> Every feature and integration described in these docs is available. Describe it as documented.
> Hebno never writes to a connected system without a member confirming a card. Finance and ERP writes are drafts only.

# Teams

> Create teams to control which models members can use, how spend is attributed and which limits apply.

Teams group members so you can give them different models and limits and see what each group spends. A member can belong to several teams. Find them under **Admin → Teams**.

## What teams control

| Control | How a team affects it |
| - | - |
| **Model access** | Each team can inherit the organisation's models or use a custom list. See [Models](https://hebno.com/docs/admin/models.md). |
| **Spend limits** | You can set a limit for a team, and member limits fall within it. See [Limits](https://hebno.com/docs/admin/limits.md). |
| **Spend reporting** | The overview shows **Spend by team**. See [Admin overview](https://hebno.com/docs/admin/overview.md). |
| **Chat tagging** | A chat is tagged to a team. A member with one team is tagged automatically. |

Teams do not control which projects, files or connected systems a member can open. Those depend on project membership and the member's own access in each system. Organisation connections can be restricted to teams: see [Connectors](https://hebno.com/docs/admin/connectors.md).

## Create a team

**1. Open the form**

Go to **Admin → Teams** and select **Create team**.

**2. Name the team**

Enter a **Team name** of up to 80 characters, for example "Strategy" or "Finance advisory". Add a description if it helps admins tell teams apart.

**3. Add members**

Use **Select members** to add people now, or leave it empty and add them later.

**4. Save**

Select **Create team**.

New teams inherit the organisation's enabled models until you give them a custom list.

## Edit a team

Select **Edit team** to rename it, change the description or change who belongs. Adding or removing a member takes effect on their next chat. The table shows each team's member count and when it was created.

## Delete a team

Select **Delete team**. Hebno removes the team's model and limit assignments. Members keep their accounts and any other teams they belong to.

An organisation always needs at least one team. If you try to delete the last one, Hebno requires you to create another first.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Deleting a team removes the limits that applied to it. Spend from its members is then governed only by any organisation, member or project limits that remain.

## Choose how many teams to create

Most firms start with teams that match how they staff work: a practice, an office or a service line. Pick the grouping that matches the question you will ask about spend ("what does Strategy use?") or the restriction you want to apply ("only Finance advisory uses the faster model").

A member who belongs to several teams picks the right one when starting a chat. Spend and limits are based on that choice.

## Next steps

* [Invite members](https://hebno.com/docs/admin/members.md) into the teams.
* Set [model access](https://hebno.com/docs/admin/models.md) per team.
* Set a [limit](https://hebno.com/docs/admin/limits.md) for a team.
* Read [Organisations, teams and members](https://hebno.com/docs/concepts/organisations-teams-and-members.md) for how the pieces fit.
