> ## Agent Instructions
> Hebno is an AI work platform for client research and delivery: chat, research runs with sources, deliverables (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, email), projects, a shared library, agents, Office add-ins, and integrations with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, CRM, project delivery, ERP and finance systems.
> Use British English (organisation, not organization).
> Every feature and integration described in these docs is available. Describe it as documented.
> Hebno never writes to a connected system without a member confirming a card. Finance and ERP writes are drafts only.

# Skills

> Save reusable instructions, such as how your firm writes a proposal, and attach them to any chat with a slash command.

A skill is a set of Markdown instructions you write once and attach to a message, so every proposal outline, status report or client email matches your firm's method. Attach a skill and the instructions apply to that turn.

## Personal and organisation skills

| | Personal | Organisation |
| - | - | - |
| **Who can use it** | Only you | Everyone in the organisation |
| **Who creates it** | Any member, up to 50 | A member who shares theirs, or an admin from **Admin → Skills** |
| **Where it appears** | **Yours** in the skills list | **Organisation** in the skills list |

Deleting an organisation skill removes it for everyone. Chats that already used it are unchanged.

## Use a skill in a chat

Type `/` in the composer and choose a skill under **Skills**, or keep typing after `/` to filter by name. You can also open the **+** menu, choose **Skills**, and pick from **Organisation** or **Yours**.

You can attach up to three skills to one message. The attached skills show as chips above the composer, and you can remove one before you send. Skills work in chats, in projects and in the Office add-ins.

## Create a skill

**1. Open your skills**

Select your avatar, then **Settings**, then the **Skills** tab.

**2. Select New skill**

Enter a **Name**, such as "Proposal outline". The name becomes the `/name` you type in chat.

**3. Add a description**

The description appears in the `/` skills menu, so say when to use it.

**4. Write the instructions**

Write the instructions in Markdown: the structure to follow, the tone, what to include and what to leave out. A counter shows characters used against the limit.

**5. Save**

Save the skill. It is available in your next chat.

> [!TIP]
>
> Write a skill as if briefing a new associate: the sections you expect, the checks you run before anything goes to a client, and one example of good output.

## Upload Markdown

Select **Upload .md** on the **Skills** tab to create a skill from a Markdown file. Hebno fills the instructions from the file, and you add a name and description before saving. Use this for method notes your firm already keeps in Markdown.

## Share a skill with the organisation

Open your skill and turn on **Share with organisation**. Everyone in your organisation can then attach it in chat. Turn it off to take it back to personal. Admins can also review and manage shared skills under **Admin → Skills**.

## Limits

| Item | Limit |
| - | - |
| Name | 100 characters |
| Description | 300 characters |
| Instructions | 50,000 characters |
| Personal skills per member | 50 |
| Skills per message | 3 |
