Open the pane
In PowerPoint, go to Home → Hebno → Open Hebno. The pane shows the hint “Select text on a slide to ask Hebno about it.”Work on a selection
1
Select text on a slide
Click into a text box and highlight the words you want to work on.
2
Select Use selection
A Selected text card appears above the message box with a character count. Remove it before sending if you change your mind.
3
Add an instruction
For example “Turn this into a single headline”, “Shorten to three bullets” or “Rewrite for a steering committee”. Send it.
4
Place the reply
Choose a button under the reply.
Insert, replace or copy
Hebno confirms with “Added a text box to the slide.” or “Replaced selected text on the slide.”
Replace selection only runs if the selected text still matches what you captured. If the selection has changed, you are asked to select again.
Slide behaviour
- A new text box appears on the slide you have open. Move and style it with PowerPoint’s own tools.
- Replies are plain text. Markdown is flattened and bullets arrive as ”•” lines. Apply your template’s styles after inserting.
- Hebno reads the text you capture, not the rest of the slide, the speaker notes or the other slides.
Use project context and skills
- Tag the chat to a project so replies use that engagement’s files, instructions and linked records.
- Type
/to attach a skill, for example your firm’s headline style. You can attach up to three.
When to build the deck in Hebno instead
To create a whole deck with a template, layouts and speaker notes, ask in the web app or desktop app and download the.pptx. Use the add-in to polish wording on a deck that already exists. See Decks.
