Share a chat to let colleagues read it, continue it or review the work behind a deliverable. Each person you add gets a role that sets what they can do.

Roles

A viewer sees the banner “You can view this chat. Only owners and collaborators can send messages.” A chat always has at least one owner. The person who started the chat is an owner.

Share a chat

1

Open the share dialog

Select Share chat in the chat header. The avatars beside it show People in this chat.
2

Find people

In the People dialog, search with Add someone by name or email…. Results come from People in this workspace, so you can share only with members of your organisation.
3

Choose a role and share

Pick the role for each person, then select Share with N people. Everyone you add can open and continue the chat according to their role. You can share with a limited number of people at a time, and the dialog shows the count.
To change a role later, open the dialog and use Role for project name on their row. To take someone out, select Remove project name. Each person you add gets the notification A chat is shared with me. They can switch it off under Settings → Notifications. See Notifications.

What shared people see

Shared people see the whole chat: every message, the work trace, sources and claims, and any deliverable in the side pane. A collaborator can ask follow-ups, and the replies run with that person’s own model access, team limits and connected accounts.
Excerpts a reply used from connected systems, such as mail, Teams meetings, OneNote pages, CRM records or finance figures, become part of the chat. Anyone you share it with can read those excerpts, even if they could not open the original in the other system. Share only with people who should see that material.
A person you share with does not gain access to your connected accounts. When a collaborator asks Hebno to read a mailbox or a folder, Hebno uses that collaborator’s connection, and shows only what they can open.

Chats in a project

A chat tagged to a project appears on the project’s Sessions tab. Sessions are shared by default. Mark one Private to hide it from teammates, and select Share to open it up again. Each chat shows a small avatar for its owner and the people in it.
