Every chat you own or share appears in the sidebar, so you can return to a client thread and its sources. You can also download a chat as a file for your records.

The sidebar list

Below New chat, Projects, Agents and Library, the conversation list has three sections. A small avatar on each chat shows who owns it and who else is in it.

Pin, rename and delete

Open Thread options on a chat to:
  • Pin it, or choose Unpin chat. Pinning also works from the pin icon that appears when you hover.
  • Edit thread title to rename it.
  • Delete it and confirm when Delete thread? appears. The deletion is permanent.
In a project group the same menu adds New chat in this project and Open project. Only an owner can rename or delete a shared chat.

Search and bulk delete

Select Manage threads below the list to open every chat in one dialog.
  1. Type in Search by title… to filter.
  2. Tick chats one by one, or choose Select matching (N) or Select all (N).
  3. Select Delete N and confirm. This cannot be undone.

Download a chat

Open Chat options (the three dots) in the chat header, choose Download and pick a format. If your library or project contains Word or PowerPoint templates, you choose one before the file is written. The download contains:
  • Each turn, labelled You or Hebno
  • Research steps with their status (Complete, In progress, Pending, Skipped, Error)
  • Sources, grouped as Internal, Client and Public
  • Claims, marked Supported, Inferred or Uncertain
  • The export date
Attachments are named in place and are not bundled. Charts export as the table of figures behind them. An empty chat shows “Send a message before downloading.”

Copy or download one reply

Hover over a reply for Copy response and Download response. These apply to that reply only. Deliverables have their own download and save options in the side pane. See Save and export.

Find work from a project

Open a project from the Projects group, or select Projects in the sidebar, to see its Sessions tab with every chat tagged to it. Files saved from those chats appear on the project’s Brain tab, so a deliverable and the conversation that produced it remain linked. Open the chat to see the sources, claims and research steps behind the file. Chats that Hebno ran for an agent appear in the same list, one conversation per run, so you can open a run and ask follow-up questions in it.

Keep a record of a chat

Download the chat as a Word or PDF file when a client or a reviewer needs the trail: the question, the research steps, each source and the status of every claim. Download Markdown when you want to paste the trail into another system. The file reflects the chat at the moment you download it, so download again after new turns.
