This walkthrough runs from sign-in to a saved, source-checked deliverable. You need an invitation to an existing organisation, or a workspace your firm has set up for you.
1

Go to hebno.com/app and choose Continue with Google, Continue with Microsoft, or enter your email and password. If you sign up with email, you receive a confirmation message first: confirm your account, then sign in.If you arrived from an invitation email, open the link, sign in with the invited address and select Accept invitation. See Join your organisation. If this is a new workspace, the setup wizard runs first. See Set up your organisation.
2

Create your first project

Select Projects in the sidebar, then New project. Enter a Name (for example “Contoso pricing review”) and, optionally, a Client, then select Create project.Open the project, go to Brain, and write a few lines under Instructions & context: who the client is, what the engagement covers, the tone you want. Hebno includes this in every chat tagged to the project. Add a file or two under Files if you have them.See Create a project and Project brain.
3

Start a chat in the project

In the project, select New chat. Chats started here are tagged to the project, so they use its files, instructions and linked sources on every turn.Ask for something concrete:Draft a two-page brief on how Contoso's main competitors price renewals. Use our project files and public sources.A request like this starts a research run. A Steps trace shows what Hebno is doing: understanding the request, reading source files, searching context, researching external sources, checking evidence, then drafting. If a decision would change the result, you may see a Before I start card with up to two questions. Pick an option, or select Skip.See Start a chat and Research runs.
4

Open your first deliverable

When the run finishes, the brief opens in the side pane next to the conversation. Read it through. To change something, select text and choose Rephrase, Shorten or Edit, or ask in the chat (“make the second section shorter and lead with price”).Changes you ask for in chat edit the same document in place. Hebno does not start a new research run for a plain edit.
5

Review the sources

Select the Sources button under the reply. Each entry shows the file, email, record or web page Hebno used, with an excerpt and a link to the original. Citation numbers in the document, such as [2], point to these entries.Open the claims list to see each finding marked Supported, Inferred or Uncertain. Treat Inferred and Uncertain findings as the ones to check or rewrite before the document goes to a client. To check the whole document again, select Verify against sources. See Sources and evidence.
6

Save it

Select Save in the pane. Choose the project, a Folder, a Filename and a Format (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF or Markdown), then Save to Contoso pricing review. The file appears under the project’s Brain → Files and is replaced in place when you save again. To write a copy to a linked SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or Box folder, choose Save to folder. You confirm before Hebno writes anything to that folder.See Save and export.

Try a connected system

Connect your own accounts under Settings → Connections, or select Connect the first time a request needs one. Then try: Summarise the last three emails with the Contoso finance director and list any open questions. Hebno searches your mailbox with your own permissions and cites each message it used. See How integrations work.
Excerpts from email, meetings and records that a reply uses become part of the conversation. Anyone you share the chat with can read them.
