The Loom integration makes recorded walkthroughs usable in your client work. Ask what Sarah Chen explained in her walkthrough of the pricing model, collect the questions viewers left as comments, or turn a project update video into a written status note, and Hebno answers from Loom with each video cited. Loom is read only: Hebno never writes to it.

At a glance

Before you start

You need:
  • A Loom account in the workspace that contains the videos, signed in with your Atlassian account if your workspace uses one.
  • An allowed integration. An owner or admin sets Loom to Allow under Admin → Connectors → Catalogue.
  • Approval from your Loom workspace admin if they restrict which apps members can connect.
When you connect, the Loom consent screen lists what Hebno reads: your videos, transcripts, comments, folders, and your name and email address. Hebno does not request permission to record, edit, share or delete videos.

Connect Loom

1

Start the connection

Open Settings → Connections, find Loom under Meetings and calls and select Connect. Or type / in the composer, choose Loom and select Connect.
2

Sign in to Loom

Sign in, choose the workspace if you belong to more than one, and select Accept.
3

Return to Hebno

The card shows Connected with your Loom workspace name.
Hebno reads with your own Loom access, so you see only videos you recorded, videos in spaces and folders you belong to, and videos shared with you. Tokens are encrypted at rest. Select Disconnect at any time, or ask an admin to revoke the connection under Admin → Connectors → Connections.

What Hebno reads

Chat reply citing a Loom video

A Loom video attached to a chat.

When Hebno reads a video, it uses the transcript and the comments, with the video timestamp on each excerpt so you can jump to the moment in Loom. Hebno does not read the video frames or audio. Attaching a video offers Details, Transcript, Comments and Full record as separate files. A search returns up to three videos. Reads are live. Hebno queries Loom when a request needs it, and only what a reply used is stored with the conversation as its sources.
Transcript and comment excerpts a reply uses become part of the conversation. Anyone you share the conversation with can read them, including comments from clients who viewed the video.

Hebno reads only

Hebno does not write to Loom. It does not record, trim or edit videos, add comments or reactions, move videos between folders, or change sharing and privacy. To share a video with a client, send its link in an email drafted with Gmail or Outlook. Linking marks which Loom folder belongs to an engagement, so you can ask “what did the latest walkthrough cover?” without naming the video.
  1. Open the project and select Brain.
  2. Under Linked records, select Link record, then Loom.
  3. Search by folder name and select it, for example the Contoso pricing review folder.
In chats tagged to the project, Hebno starts with videos in the linked folder for any question about a walkthrough or update. See Linked records.

Use Loom in chat

  • Attach: open the + menu, choose Sources → Loom, pick a video, then pick the transcript, comments or full record. Or type / and choose Loom.
  • Ask: name the video, client, person or folder. For example:
Turn Sarah Chen’s walkthrough of the pricing model into a one-page summary with timestamps.
List the questions viewers left on the Contoso videos this week and who asked each one.
Draft a status note from Priya Nair’s 4 November update video.
  • Research runs show a Reviewing Loom step, with a chip for each video it read.
  • Agents can read Loom on a schedule, for example a weekly list of new videos and unanswered comments in a client folder. Loom has no write actions, so agents only read.
