The ClickUp integration makes delivery status available in your client work. Ask what is overdue in an engagement list, who owns the open tasks, or how many hours the team tracked against the interview phase, and Hebno answers from ClickUp with each task cited. When a request implies a change, such as creating a task or logging time, Hebno shows a confirmation card and writes to ClickUp only after you confirm.

At a glance

Before you start

You need:
  • A ClickUp account in the Workspace you want to use.
  • An allowed integration. An owner or admin sets ClickUp to Allow under Admin → Connectors → Catalogue.
  • The Time Tracking ClickApp turned on in the space if you want to read or log time. A ClickUp Workspace owner or admin turns it on under Settings → ClickApps.
ClickUp OAuth does not use scopes. When you authorise Hebno, you choose the Workspaces it can use, and Hebno then works with your own ClickUp role in each one (Owner, Admin, Member, Limited Member or Guest). Hebno uses these parts of the ClickUp API:

Connect ClickUp

1

Start the connection

Open Settings → Connections, find ClickUp and select Connect. You can also select Connect from the prompt in a chat.
2

Choose your Workspaces

Sign in to ClickUp, tick each Workspace Hebno may use, and select Connect Workspace.
3

Return to Hebno

The card shows Connected with the Workspace names.
Hebno reads and writes with your own permissions, so you see only the spaces, folders and lists that you can open in ClickUp, including private ones you are a member of. Tokens are encrypted at rest. Select Disconnect at any time, or ask an admin to revoke the connection under Admin → Connectors → Connections.

What Hebno reads

Reads are live. Hebno queries ClickUp when a request needs it. Only what a reply used is stored with the conversation as its sources.
Excerpts a reply uses become part of the conversation. Anyone you share the conversation with can read them, including task descriptions, comments and doc text from ClickUp.

What Hebno writes

Every write appears first as a confirmation card. You can change any field before you select Confirm.

A ClickUp change pending confirmation. Nothing is written until you confirm.

Hebno never deletes tasks, lists or spaces, changes sharing or permissions, edits ClickApps or automations, or changes Workspace settings. Writes are made as your ClickUp user, so ClickUp shows you as the author. Linking marks which ClickUp folders or lists belong to an engagement, so you can ask “what is overdue?” without naming the list.
  1. Open the project and select Brain.
  2. Under Linked records, select Link record, then ClickUp.
  3. Search by folder or list name and select it. Repeat for each folder or list in the engagement.
In chats tagged to the project, Hebno starts with the linked folders and lists for any delivery question, and cards for new tasks and time entries default to them. See Linked records.

Use ClickUp in chat

  • Attach: open the + menu, choose Sources → ClickUp, and pick a list, a folder, a task or a doc. Or type / and choose ClickUp.
  • Ask: name the list, task or person in your request. For example:
List everything overdue or due this week on the Contoso pricing review, grouped by assignee.
How many hours did the team track against the Discovery list in October, split by person?
Create a task in the Readout list to prepare the steering committee deck, assign it to Sarah Chen and set it due on 13 November.
  • Research runs show a Checking ClickUp step, with a chip for each list, task and doc it read.
  • Agents can read ClickUp on a schedule, for example a Monday list of overdue tasks across client folders. Writes an agent proposes appear in agent approvals for review.
