Easy Projects is also sold as Birdview PSA. The integration works with both and uses the same Easy Projects API.
At a glance
Before you start
You need:- An owner or admin role in Hebno.
- An Easy Projects administrator who can create an OAuth client for the integration.
- A dedicated Easy Projects user for the integration. The OAuth client acts as this user, so its role in Easy Projects sets the most the organisation connection can read or write.
Connect Easy Projects
1
Allow the integration
Open Admin → Connectors → Catalogue, find Easy Projects under Projects, and set it to Allow.
2
Connect the organisation
Select Connect, enter your Easy Projects address, the OAuth client ID and the client secret, then select Test connection. Hebno checks that it can connect to Easy Projects and lists the areas the integration user can read and write.
3
Choose teams and data areas
Under Who can use it, choose All teams or pick teams. Under Data areas, choose what members can see. See Data areas.
4
Set access
Leave Access on Read and write to let members propose time, task changes and expenses, or choose Read only.
Link your own account
Members can link their own Easy Projects account so writes are made in their name under their own Easy Projects permissions.- In Hebno, open Settings → Connections, find Easy Projects and select Link your account.
- Sign in to Easy Projects and approve the access Hebno requests.
Data areas
Data areas control what members of the allowed teams can see through the organisation connection. They apply on top of whatever the integration user can read in Easy Projects.
An organisation connection with team access and data areas. Financial figures default to owners and admins.
When a member has linked their own account, Hebno uses that member’s Easy Projects permissions instead of the organisation connection. Data areas still apply, so a member never sees more through Hebno than both Easy Projects and your Hebno settings allow.
What Hebno reads
Hebno reads project and task budgets as figures stored on those records. Easy Projects exposes reporting through its own reports, not through this API, so Hebno does not read invoices or report outputs.
Reads are live. Hebno queries Easy Projects when a request needs it. Only what a reply used is stored with the conversation as its sources.
What Hebno writes
Every write appears first as a confirmation card. You can change any field before you select Confirm.
An Easy Projects change pending confirmation. Nothing is written until you confirm.
Link a project to an Easy Projects project
Linking marks which Easy Projects projects belong to a Hebno project, so you can ask “how are we tracking?” without naming them.- Open the project and select Brain.
- Under Linked records, select Link record, then Easy Projects.
- Search by project name or customer, and select the project. Repeat for each project in the engagement.
Use Easy Projects in chat
-
Attach: open the + menu, choose Sources → Easy Projects, and pick a project, a task or your time entries. Or type
/and choose Easy Projects. -
Ask: name the customer, project or task in your request. For example:
How is the Contoso pricing review tracking against budget, and which tasks are still open before the readout?
Draft a steering committee update for Contoso with hours logged by task and who is assigned for the next two weeks.
Log 2.5 hours on the Contoso pricing review, stakeholder interviews, for yesterday.
- Research runs show a Checking Easy Projects step, with a chip for each project, task and time entry it read.
- Agents can read Easy Projects on a schedule, for example a Monday brief on budget and hours left across active projects. Writes an agent proposes appear in agent approvals for review.
